Capital

a screenplay by Alan Black

The script plays with ideas of power.

Using actual events as a springboard to an exploration of political control and its misuse,

the story is sparked by the crash of a passenger jet in Chicago.

Two FBI agents investigate questionable elements surrounding the circumstances of the crash.

This leads them into the interwoven worlds of arms trafficking,

corporate malfeasance, and political dirty tricks.

As the plot grows larger and larger, the agents are finally led into the intrigues of

international banking, Italian organized crime, and the far-reaching hand of the Catholic Church.

Everything points back to Chicago—and leads the agents to a final, troubling revelation

concerning the probable cause of the plane crash.
